How did you get started as a Personal Coach?
In 2000, I was sitting next to a bright young man on a flight from Bozeman, Montana to Ontario, California. He had expressed some dissatisfaction with his current sales position. As we talked, I asked him leading questions, hoping to help him see new possibilities. Finally, he said, "Are you a Personal Coach, by any chance?"
I didn't even know what that was.
He produced a business card from his wallet and handed it to me. He said, "I sat next to this woman last week and she was a personal coach. She made me think of new ideas, just like you have. I returned home, called the number on the card, and hired my own personal coach". I knew right then I wanted to enroll in coach training and start my practice.
What is Personal Coaching?
Coaching is a way to help others live life to the max, and the best part is the exceptional people I get to work with. Like the young man on the plane, they are looking to improve their life or move in a different direction.
How does it work?
My clients pay a monthly fee and call me three times a month for 45 minutes. Some of them, I've never seen face to face. In addition to the calls, we communicate often by e-mail. |
What areas of life do you coach?
I've coached around career change, weight loss, publishing books and articles, doctoral dissertations, life style change, self care, fitness, self confidence, public speaking, debt reduction, financial independence, relationships, parenting, and more.
How do you coach?
I coach clients across the country who are interested in making great strides in their lives. They have the potential to succeed without me, but they enjoy the encouragement and direction as they achieve success at laser speed. I become their personal motivator, sounding board, guide, and cheerleader.
I've coached speakers, writers, teachers, doctors, dentists, medical assistants, entrepreneurs, small business owners, artisans, carpenters, college students, school administrators, other coaches, computer technicians, cowboys, bodybuilders, paralegals, missionaries, and retirees.
Their goals are as varied as their areas of interest and employment. From personal foundation to profitability, we plot a course and make giant steps toward the clients desired success. |
